The Gang of Nigerian drug dealers has been neutralized by the largest operation to suppress the activities of the international criminal community that transported cocaine to the territory of Russia in recent years, was carried out by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs together with the FSB and the Federal Customs Service, as well as law enforcement agencies. This was told yesterday by the Deputy Minister of the Interior Nikolai Ovchinnikov. The criminal case on charges of three citizens Nigeria and the Russians was transferred to the Moscow City Court on February 4. According to the investigation, drug dealers transported cocaine in parcels with metal buttons. The police identified this method of drug transportation for the first time. Each button contained 2-3 grams of drug, in one package it was placed 500-600 grams.
The operatives identified the drug supply channel back in April 2007. Parks with cocaine were transported to Russia from Nigeria and Brazil through Germany. The drug dealers lived in a rented apartment in the center of the capital, introducing themselves to the owners and neighbors of foreign students. In Moscow, they diluted cocaine and sold it at a price of 4-6 thousand rubles per gram. They purchased new parties of the durman for some of the money proceeds from the sale of drugs, and invested the rest in a legal business.
In the summer of 2008, three drug dealers managed to detain with red -handed. Two are Nigeria citizens, 37-year-old Ojoson McMarsel Onoor and 25-year-old Akhurayushemma Maxwell Chibuike. The third accused is a 25 -year -old resident of the Moscow Region Anna Alekhina, who received parcels to her mailing address. Its roommate, 35-year-old Nigerian Amananambe Chukvemek Christopher, managed to escape abroad, but in the fall of 2008 he returned and was detained, despite the fake documents of a citizen of Ghana.
As the investigation established, the Nigerians were engaged in the substitution of documents repeatedly. A few years ago, they were convicted in Russia for drug trafficking and serving a sentence in one colony. It was there that they met and after liberation took up the supply of cocaine. According to investigators of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the income of the Dragdilers amounted to more than $ 1 million. True, the police managed to document $ 120 thousand. Currently, operational investigative measures are still being held, including through Interpol. In addition, the operatives have information that the accused were engaged in the transportation of women from African states to Russia and involved them in prostitution. In total, community members are accused of 85 episodes, including the organization of a criminal community (Article 210 of the Criminal Code). As noted in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it has still been extremely rare to incur such an accusation due to the hardness of this type of crime.
