FAS chopping from the shoulder

The department of Igor Artemyev prohibits selling both expensive kerosene and a cheap diesel fuel in the wave of crisis with Airunion FAS Russia aroused several cases against unscrupulous fuel supplymen and petroleum products. Today there was a message that the Novosibirsk Directorate of the FAS opened cases against North Fuel Complex LLC and Gazpromneft-Aero CJSC. Companies are accused of violation of Art. 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” (abuse of dominant position in the commodity market).

The antimonopoly department established that Northern Fuel Complex LLC in two months increased the price of airway sales by carriers by 8.6% (from 28.98 thousand to 31.5 thousand rubles per ton). Moreover, the price of acquisition of airline from oil workers increased by only 2.3%. Gazpromneft-Aero CJSC went further, which increased the price of a crane by 19.3% (from 29.31 thousand to 35 thousand rubles per ton). At the same time, the price of acquisition of a carrier from the supplier did not change in the summer.

But the Sakhalin management of the FAS found signs of abuse of the dominant position in the market in the exact opposite case. The other day, guilty of violation of Art. 10 of the Law “On Protection of Competition”, one of Rosneft’s “Daughters”, LLC RN -Vostoknefteprodukt, was recognized, which set monopoline low prices for diesel fuel at its own gas stations in June 2008. All would be nothing - many motorists would rather not mind if a number of gasoline or diesel heating sellers began to intentionally underestimate, and not to overestimate prices. However, as it turned out, the actions of the "daughter" of Rosneft can hardly be called dumping. As explained in the press service of the FAS Russia, the supplier set different prices for different household objects, that is, he sold his gas station at a low price, and all the rest at high. Retail sellers of autobensin and diesel fuel, located in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, began to beat the alarm. They stated that RN-Vostoknefteproduct LLC unreasonably set various prices for the same product. After that, the FAS Russia began the investigation and, by its results, issued a warning to the commander. An administrative case has been instituted.
