The Ecological map of Moscow "Greenpeace Russia" was published together with Google published an electronic ecological map of Moscow. Capital enterprises have a maximum emission of pollutants into the atmosphere, as well as the zones of their influence, are applied to it. Now every Muscovite can, having driven the address of his house into the search line, find out what danger he is threatening. As stated in the Greenpeace message, the card is based on the data of Roshydromet and Mosecomonitoring. The largest-largest enterprises of the deteriorators include, for example, all city thermal power plants, the Moscow oil refinery, the ZIL plant. The emissions of these enterprises contain a number of dangerous chemicals, such as sulfur, nitrogen, chainsaw and a number of others. In addition, the list included existing garbage plants (MSZ) with zones of probable exposure - 1.5 and 24 km.
These zones, the report said, are determined by the experts of Greenpeace on the basis of scientific data and research results conducted in the UK, Sweden, Italy and Japan. "Due to the fact that unsorted garbage gets into the plant’s oven, emissions contain dioxins and about 1 thousand dangerous compounds, many of which have not been fully studied," ecologists say. Now only three MSZs operate in the capital, but in the coming years the Moscow authorities plan to build six more. "If the construction plans in the city of six MSZs are implemented, then the content of dangerous carcinogens in the air will increase even more," said the expert of Greenpeace Russia Alexei Kiselev.
To use the ecological card, you need to start an account on the Google website, find in the "maps" ecological card of Moscow and bring it to the "My Cards" section. After that, the user can write the address of his home in the search bar. When the house is found, it is enough to click on the desired area of the map, after which a message will appear about all the environmental dangers of this area.
