However, the chairman of this committee, United Russia, Valentina Pivnenko, who submitted the document, categorically rejected the election component. According to her, the committee prepared it in 2006. "According to our calculations, the average increase in the pension of the northerners will be 300 rubles per month," Pivnenko added. Starting next year, the bill will require about 8 billion rubles. The general attitude of the deputies that performed was positive, but they remembered the "bears" their position when voting the sensational law on monetization of benefits. “Three years ago, natural benefits were canceled, despite the protests of the opposition factions. We were told that the state has no money, and now they are presented as a great merit of“ United Russia, ”said Ivan Kharchenko, the first deputy chairman of the faction, the deputy believes that the draft law on northern pensions, adopted in the first reading, may remain in the same quality.

Today, northern allowances are received only by those citizens who, retiring, remained in the north. The bill approved yesterday in the first reading extends the allowances to those who left the North. It is planned to increase the basic part of the old -age labor pension and disability pensioners with work experience in the Far North and the territories equated to it. These are 27 subjects in Russia. According to the bill, the size of the basic part of the labor pension of the northerners will be 1.89 thousand rubles a month, and the persons who work in the areas equated to the extreme north are 1.64 thousand rubles a month. At the same time, the necessary experience for obtaining a retirement pension has been set for at least 25 years for men and 20 years for women (of which 15 and 20 years, respectively). Persons who have reached the age of 80, as well as disabled people with restrictions on the ability of the third degree, the basic part of the monthly retirement pension is established in the amount of 3.78 thousand rubles. Disabled people of the second degree - 1.89 thousand rubles, and disabled people of the first degree - 945 rubles per month. The basic part of the pension has been increased for those who combine these categories (age and restrictions on health reasons) with the content of dependents. Such pensioners will receive the basic part of the pension from 2.52 thousand rubles per month to 5.67 thousand rubles per month. The law, if it is accepted until the end of December, will enter into force on January 1, 2008.
