Euroset, previously actively accusing law enforcement agencies of bias and selfishness, disowned the party yesterday. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company Yevgeny Chichvarkin told reporters in London: “These phones are excluded from mutual settlements. We will not pay for them. This is the problem of Motorola, and not the Euroset. A foreign company whose losses will amount to about $ 20 million, there is nothing else to repeat that its products are fully consistent with Russian and international requirements for quality and technical characteristics.

Recall that the reason for disposal was the results of a repeated examination of the tubes, confirmed, according to the investigation, their unsafe consumers. The destruction of mobile phones took place in the production building of No. 2 of the Eco -Center of the Moscow State Pedagogical University "Piasmiths" in the south of Moscow.

In total, 167.5 thousand mobile phones of various models with a total cost of 530 million rubles were detained in Sheremetyevo. Later, the prosecutor’s office explained that she was only interested in part of the cargo - Motorola C115 devices. They were produced in Brazil (Motorola confirmed this fact), but initially, according to the investigator, this country was not listed in the accompanying documents, the corrections were made later. In addition, the examination showed that the "Brazilian" phones do not meet Russian technical requirements. This was the reason for initiating a criminal case.

However, Motorola insists that they conducted all the telephone tests that are relied under Russian laws, which showed that the tubes are safe for health. Motorola is sure that the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted an examination of her tubes for compliance with the outdated "rules for applying subscriber stations of mobile radio -telegon communication networks of the GSM 900/1800" of 2001, while the Rules of Mininforms No. 114 of 09/20/2005 are currently in force in the Russian Federation. According to the rules adopted last year, the exceeding the level of emitted capacity in the range of 1800 Hz by 5-10% established by the examination (and the Ministry of Internal Affairs insists such an excess) cannot be a violation of the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation.

It is noteworthy that the other day a second examination of the phones took place. True, which organization and on what equipment it carried out, is kept secret. “We don’t even know who conducted the examination,” the newspaper told Motorola. The company says that they unsuccessfully asked the Ministry of Internal Affairs permission to be present when re -checking its phones. “This is the secret of the investigation. We can only say that this organization has a license of the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications. We cannot specify in order to avoid pressure on experts from the outside. In the first study, information about the research organization in the media came by accident,” the investigative -operational group answered. Law enforcement officers also noted that Euroset and Motorola are not yet defendants in the criminal case (it has been instituted on the fact of violations), therefore, by law, no one is obliged to introduce them to the results of the examination, and even more so invite it to it.

Interestingly, as a result of the second check, the phones began to look even more dangerous. As stated in the second conclusion of experts, the radiation of the seized “tubes” during work is 2.5 times higher than the level permissible in Russia for this category of communications. In addition, most mobile phones have higher norms and power of transmitting devices. All this creates a threat to consumer health, and can also have a “destabilizing effect on the operation of communication systems”. “Implementation, industrial processing and gratuitous transfer in the territory of the Russian Federation are impossible,” the experts who refer to the Ministry of Internal Affairs summarized. After that, it was decided to destroy the "tubes".

It remains to add that the detained "tubes" on April 20 are recognized as material evidence in the criminal case. Therefore, the fate of the rest of more than 117.5 thousand phones will be clear later.
