The children of the dead servicemen will become students without exams by the children of military personnel who died in the performance of military duty, will soon be able to get an advantage when entering universities and technical schools. Such a bill is now being discussed by the State Duma. Those who are concerned about these benefits, about a hundred people. “Their fathers died during the fighting in Chechnya,” said Alexei Chernyshev, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science (LDPR faction), “and now these guys will be able to enter without any exams to any university of the country.”The closest relatives of the deceased, such as nephews or brothers, will receive certain benefits. This, according to deputies, is three and a half thousand potential applicants. “It's no secret that in a family left without a father is tight with money. And without tutors or preparatory courses you won’t go anywhere, ”said Andrei Golovatyuk (LDPR), a member of the State Duma Committee on Defense, a member of the State Duma Committee. However, in this case, it is impossible to count on automatic receiving a student ticket. It is necessary to take exams on a common basis - it is necessary to score a passing score. And then, if the selection committee is faced with a choice of whom to enroll - an ordinary schoolboy or relative of the deceased soldier, the latter will receive an advantage.
A similar law already exists in Russia, but now the benefits are concerned only to military educational institutions. “We propose to expand not a list of beneficiaries, but a list of educational institutions,” says Nikolai Bulaev (United Russia), chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science). According to him, the current law does not take into account many life situations - for example, if a young man for health reasons cannot receive a military education or if the deceased has a daughter, not a son.
It is known that the Ministry of Defense proposed not to share children and other relatives of the dead military. In this case, one and others would have to be enrolled in universities without exams. The deputies refused: this approach would infringe on other schoolchildren. One way or another, according to the State Duma, the military department supports the initiative. Meanwhile, the first persons of Russian education are not yet aware of the details. The rector of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy refused to comment on the bill because he did not see it. And the vice -rector of the country's chief university, the dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Vladimir Mironov, said in an interview with Gazeta that if the beneficiary from the military family is not pulling on knowledge, they will find the way out: “Usually in such cases we offer children who really want to study and go to the Rabbac. There during the year they will go through some part of the school curriculum and prepare for admission to the university. But a certain level of knowledge is necessary even for those who do without exams. Otherwise, the student will not be able to hand over the session. ”
One way or another, the lower house of parliament plans this year to decide the fate of the bill. Perhaps already from January he will enter into force.
