In Novgorod, they found drawings on birch bark for a thousand years old

During the excavations carried out on the territory of Novgorod, scientists found fragments of birch bark scrolls with drawings for more than a thousand years.

The find that RIA Novosti talks about was one of the first in the 2009 season. Scientists suggest that next to the Trinity excavation (named after the nearby church) a school used to be founded in 1030 by Yaroslav Wise. But fragments discovered by researchers are extracted from the cultural layer of the X century and there were no traces of inscriptions on them. Instead of inscriptions on scrolls, you can consider a pattern of anchor with a chain.
