Recently, a presentation of the Smart Parking parking system was held on the territory of the Kuntsevo shopping center - a kind of carousel for cars. It can significantly save space: on the area where two cars are usually located, you can place up to 12 cars. The presentation was visited by prominent representatives of the Moscow authorities: the first deputy mayor in the government, Peter Aksenov and the head of the Department of Transport and Communications, Leonid Lipsits. They liked the system: in addition to compactness, it is almost noise and easy to control. You can immerse your car by carousel or remove it yourself. The time of receiving the car is 8 minutes.

But, as the “newspaper” said in the Department of Transport, Smart Parking has not yet been shown to the mayor Yuri Luzhkov, but without it they do not resolve such issues. For some reason, it is impossible to buy this system for motorists themselves, for example, for your yard.

An interesting solution was prompted by their colleagues from Krasnoyarsk to Moscow officials. Recently, they decided to use Yenisei for parking lots there: special four -tier barges will be installed in the embankments, each of which can take on board up to 800 cars. Parking will cost car owners even cheaper: water tax is much lower than the land.

However, Muscovites do not wait for such happiness. As the deputy head of the capital’s department of transport and communications, Alexander Kisko, told the “newspaper”, the city authorities have not yet discussed such an idea. The official himself refers to her skeptical: the river is navigable, but at the same time too narrow. There is no place for barges-parking, especially since the mayor ordered the river to be completely loaded: there is already a project of passenger catamaran.

The metropolitan government has a lot of "parking" plans. However, they all look unconvincing. So, it was about multi -level parking lots in the city center, but here in any case you can’t configure them.

The favorite brainchild of the capital's authorities was the project of "intercepting" parking between the Moscow Ring Road and the third ring - so that the motorists get to the center by public transport. In the fall, one of these parking lots will appear on Gagarin Square, and by 2008 they will be built "intercepting" parking for 35 thousand places. This is a drop in the sea: by this time, the number of personal cars in Moscow will pass for 4 million. In addition, the car owner will transfer from the car to the bus only if he takes him to the place faster. Such a task was set in the program for the development of ground passenger transport for 2007-2009. However, the Moscow government recently rejected it: the task was not solved by the proposed methods (see the “newspaper” from April 26).

Suppose a miracle will happen: they will travel by public transport in the city, but a personal car is used only for traveling to the country; The rest of the time the car will stand in the garage. But with garages in Moscow, no less problem than parking lots. The advertised program "Folk garage" is close to failure. In fact, this was the other day by the deputy head of the department of urban planning policy Konstantin Korolevsky. According to him, in order to revive the program, it was decided that not the residents themselves, but the capital's authorities themselves, will be financed by the construction of parking. Now in the development of more than 100 sites for the construction of garages, and by the end of the year, competitions for the selection of contractors will be held. The cost of one machine -reister will be from 5 thousand dollars. Everything is fine, only the volumes are still not impressive. And the most unpleasant thing is that talking about creating typical projects of houses with underground parking, the most common solution around the world is no longer underway. That is, light -handed new settlers are added to the surrendous car owners of the old buildings daily.
