The son of the ex-president of Kyrgyzstan is ready to testify to the investigation, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Kyrgyzstan continues to find out the legality of the acquired property of the family of ex-president of the Republic of Askar Akayev. According to the recently, the prosecutor general of Kambaraly Kartantiev, a fundamental agreement was reached on the interrogations of Aidar Akayev. The son of the former president expressed, according to Kartantiev, the willingness to answer all the questions of the investigators of the prosecutor's office, but only in Moscow, where he now lives.Last year, investigators several times intended to interrogate Akayev Jr., but each time they returned from Moscow with nothing. Now the Prosecutor General said that Aydar Akayev “expressed his readiness to cooperate with the investigation authorities, but is afraid to come to Kyrgyzstan for security reasons.” According to the Prosecutor General, in total, 79 criminal cases have been initiated and investigated against the ex-president and his relatives. According to the investigating authorities, the damage caused by these crimes to the state and private individuals amounted to about $ 30 million. In addition to Randev, the younger Akayev, the deputy mandate will have to be deprived of the deputy: now the parliamentary committees are considering this issue on the "slaughter" reason - after March 24, Aidar has never participated in the work of legislators.
Three criminal cases have already been investigated today. They are associated with the so-called library of the first president of Kyrgyzstan and receiving 420 thousand dollars from officials of financial and credit institutions of the republic. As the investigation found out, in the charter among the founders of the fund, on which the library was framed, two younger children of the Akayevs were listed. The issue of transferring to the ownership of the state of the main building of the library will be resolved at the end of the investigation. The Prosecutor General said that the additional difficulty in conducting investigations on Akayev property arises due to the fact that "many accounts of firms passing in these cases are registered in foreign states."
Konantiev said that in May last year an agreement was concluded on the provision of legal services with American lawyer Edward Lieberman - the fee amounted to 500 thousand dollars. The American lawyer was entrusted with cases related to the activities of the most profitable in the Republic of Companies, for example, the mobile operator Betel, as well as the companies of the eldest son and son -in -law of the president. These firms carried out contracts for refueling the anti -terrorist coalition based at the Bishkek Airport of Military Aviation of Military Aviation. “Unfortunately, the materials provided to the Prosecutor General do not contain specific facts in the investigated criminal cases and cannot be the basis of the charges,” said Konantiev.
Meanwhile, the lawyer of the Akayev family Maxim Maksimovich says that the investigation has no specific facts related to the activities of Askar and Aydar Akayev. The lawyer associates the accusations with the political campaign to discredit the former president. Air Akayev also repeatedly stated through his lawyer that he did not agree with the charges.
According to a number of experts, the information published by the Prosecutor General of the Republic is primarily connected with the approaching anniversary of the March Revolution - in order to once again inform society about corruption and criminal offenses of the family and the encirclement of the overthrown ex -president. However, over the past after the revolution, the situation in the country has not changed much. “Many thought that corruption and various social problems would disappear with Akayev’s departure. But now it’s hard to talk about positive, because, unfortunately, we don’t see real changes in our lives, ”Bishkek political scientist Nur Omarov told the newspaper
