The General Staff of the Armed Forces: The spring-summer offensive of Russians ended "practically nothing"

The General Staff of Ukraine accused the Russian military command of "attempts to give the desired for real" and "outright lies." The reason was the on the eve of the report of the head of the General Staff of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov on the results of the spring-summer offensive of the Russian army.

In it, Gerasimov claimed that since March 2025, Russian troops captured 149 settlements and more than 3.5 thousand square kilometers of Ukraine. He also stated that the military of the Russian Federation successfully create “security zones” along the border: in the Sumy region, 210 square kilometers of the territory passed under their control, and the city of Kupyansk was “almost completely” in Kharkov.

According to the General Staff of the Army of Ukraine, "the next seasonal offensive ended in almost nothing." The Ukrainian command emphasized that for the spring-summer period, the Russians did not capture a single major city. The General Staff of Ukraine called the “security zones” in the Sumy and Kharkov regions “nothing more than attempts to hide the failures of operations that led to dead end situations and tens of thousands of victims.”

The Ukrainian General Staff also claims that during the battles for six months, the Russians lost 210 thousand troops killed and wounded, as well as 1201 tank, 2174 units of armored vehicles and 7303 artillery attitudes. According to the Ukrainian command, the only "one hundred percent confirmed result achieved by Russia since the beginning of 2025 is its own losses."

“The final report of General Gerasimov is a textbook example of Kremlin lies and arrogance. Press Secretary of Vladimir Putin also stated that Russia was ready for political and diplomatic settlement, and accused Ukraine of lack of “reciprocity” on this issue. “So far in this we do not see reciprocity from Kyiv, we continue a special military operation,” said the Kremlin spokesman.

The European Union continues to provide active assistance to Ukraine against the backdrop of reducing support from the administration of Donald Trump. The EU insists that agreements on the termination of war should not be discussed without the participation of Kyiv and should be based on international law. The war began a month after we were distributed to this city after graduating from the university (the cool beginning of adulthood, right?). Sometimes drones fly here, explodes, a siren turns on. At first it was scary, now they were used to it (which scares much more).

Of my family, the only ones who condemned this hell - me and my aunt. She had the opportunity to leave the country with her son, but I did not have this opportunity. My husband is a pragmatist and looks extremely strategically at the war. He does not understand my "compassion". From this I am completely lonely.

It’s so hard for me when I see a photo of coffins with young children, whole families who died from bombs who send to Ukraine to my own taxes. I curse the whole top of our power. But I am not more confidential to the power of Ukraine, because the years of this war taught me the fact that the authorities never care about their population.

At first, I had hopes for negotiations and other Burdu, to whom we were fed. Now I have no hope for anything. Because even if the fighting stops, how will we live? And how will the unfortunate Ukraine live, which we bombed? How will we live from the entire civilized world, we are Russian citizens? Without the Internet, without money, without open borders, without accepting us as adequate people in other countries?
