1
the battle ended early
the king puts pressure on the wound
holding buds in his palm
the bomb froze at its zenith -
king, from the heat of diamonds,
holds hearts in the palm of his hand.
Dragons on white standards
tortured by scarlet pity
scratching the back of the wind,
they spew out veto:
“You can’t let go of this wound!”
2
the king remembers midnight
silent songs of the soil
resinous garden shades
the king remembers the morning
downy tenderness of ducks
dew on sedge blades
“You can go back!”
the compressed wound chirps,
(you can’t let this bird go) -
You can give up the chase
on a coniferous feather bed, at rest
curl up into a sinewy fleece!”
(you can't put that hand down)
3
the king doesn't give up
but the army
runs away
melted wax
the king doesn't give up
but time
flows down
from a dying vein.
in the amber treacherous heat
struck by the last chill
the king stubbornly refuses to give up
the king turns into marble
4
the crown whitens under the sun,
and next to the agony -
horses
grazing, biting with teeth
green ripe banner...
death hope emptiness fairy tale battle
