Ilona Aleksandrovna Bronevitskaya was born on February 17, 1961 in Leningrad into a family of famous musicians: father - composer A. A. Bronevitsky, founder of the ensemble “FRIENDSHIP”; mother is singer Edita Piekha.
From 1978 to 1982, Ilona Bronevitskaya studied at the Leningrad State Institute of Music and Cinematography in the variety department of the drama department. The course leader is Honored Artist I. R. Shtokbant, vocal teacher is P. B. Arkhangelskaya. But, of course, the main teachers for the aspiring singer were her parents. After graduating from the institute, Ilona worked as an actress at the Buff Theater under the direction of I. R. Shtokbant, and from 1986 to 1988 in Edita Piekha’s team as a singer. The first solo concert took place in 1989 in Irkutsk, and the debut album “Dancing for Breakfast” was released in 1995.
I. Bronevitskaya as an actress starred in two feature films directed by G. Poloka: “Our Calling” (1881) and “Amazing Outpost” (1986).
In 1988, she became a laureate of the All-Union Competition of Performers “Yalta 88” (third prize), after which she actively toured the country until 1993. Of the foreign tours, the most striking were performances in Afghanistan (1988) and a trip to Finland (1990). In 1990, as a presenter and singer, she took part in New Year's disco concerts at the Rossiya State Central Concert Hall, the Children's Fund telethon, and the Slavic Bazaar festival.
At the same time, I. Bronevitskaya released her own program “Home” on Russian radio. Participation in the “Wider Circle” program, which the singer hosted for several years with M. Muromov, V. Malezhik, and later G. Vetrov, brings the singer well-deserved popularity. From 1995 to 1997, I. Bronevitskaya, together with S. Lazareva, hosted the “Morning Mail” program, in which they also act as screenwriters, directors, and actors.
