The Influenza Research Institute reports that in Russia the industrial production of the “Set for the Prevention and Treatment of Influenza” has been launched, which includes preparations of type I and II interferons. The combination of drugs will provide high protection against influenza infection, including H1N1 season 2009 (swine).

The World Health Organization has recommended these drugs as a priority for combating influenza, especially during an epidemic or pandemic.

For a course of prevention and treatment of influenza, one package of the “Set for the prevention and treatment of influenza” is required.

The “Set” includes two preparations of alpharon + ingaron, ampoules with water for dissolving the drug, pipettes. The drugs alfaron and ingaron are not addictive and effectively treat at all stages of the disease. The kit only needs to be used once a day. For single contact with the patient, one application is sufficient.

How to use (prevention):

dissolve the contents of the bottle in 5 ml of water (from the ampoule). Store vials in the refrigerator
up to 10 days = course of prophylaxis. Instill 1 time in the morning before leaving the house.

How to use (treatment):

3-5 times a day, 2-3 drops of each drug into the nasal passages for 5-7 days.
For children under 1 year of age, alfarona is prescribed for therapeutic purposes, 1 drop 5 times a day. Children from 1 to 3 years old – 2 drops 3-4 times a day. Children from 3 to 14 years old – 2 drops 4-5 times a day. For preventive purposes, children are instilled with alpharon once every 1–2 days, according to the age-specific dosage. The duration of the course for children is 5 days.
