I would hardly be mistaken if I say that most of us often prefer to give our men not what they like, but what we like. For example, French perfume, a tie clip or a copy of a Claude Monet painting. “Well, these sophisticated objects can’t help but delight a man’s heart?!” - we think.

And sometimes we make mistakes. One friend advised me: if you want to know what to give to your loved one, ask him about it. For example, you went to the store with him. He saw a flashlight or a compass in the window and said that he would like exactly that flashlight, or better yet, both a compass and a flashlight. Please don't think this is nonsense. 1. All sorts of things for measuring something. As a rule, it is better to give them to economical men who know how to build or do something around the house with their own hands.

This list may include an outdoor thermometer, a barometer, a tape measure, and a dynamometer (a measure of the strength of a person or a machine). You can, of course, argue for a long time about the fact that my man doesn’t need a barometer, because he’s not a sailor, but you can just give it as a gift. Some of these devices are quite inexpensive, such as a thermometer or tape measure.

2. Weapon-related items. This is like confirmation that your man is a real warrior. By the way, this could be a collectible dagger. Or maybe a fake sword (if your friend likes fencing). Or maybe a folding penknife, which also contains scissors, a spoon, a fork, an opener, and a corkscrew. Just choose better quality so that it doesn’t break the first time you use it. Better Swiss than Chinese.

3. Terrain orientation devices. Anyone who loves to hunt will not refuse a flashlight and a compass. Well, a modern hunter who goes to work every day by car will not refuse a satellite navigator.

4. Fishing gear. Well, there’s a fishing rod, spinning rod, reel and so on. And besides, the modern fisherman looks out for schools of fish not by where there are more fishermen, but with the help of a cool echo sounder.

5. Optical instruments. It is unlikely that any man will refuse such toys as binoculars or a spyglass (either in the forest or in the city - it’s no game to look out for beauties). And in order for no one to doubt the merits of the hunter, a camera or video camera is needed (well, it depends on your means).

6. Sports things. If it is difficult to carry dumbbells home, you can buy a compact strength training device - an expander. Or a backpack for going to the gym, a jar of sports nutrition, a book on sports, a fitness membership.

7. Computer gadgets. These could be games, video cards, good headphones or a gel mouse pad.
