Life in the supermarket on Starobitsevskaya Street was going on as usual - people were choosing purchases and standing in line at the cash register, when suddenly the attention of citizens was attracted by loud obscene language. People who turned around at the noise saw a picture of an epic battle between man and machine. The young guy, clearly quite drunk, kicked the unfortunate machine as hard as he could, simultaneously telling those around him everything he thought about him and his closest relatives. Oaths were probably used as fighting spells.
Employees of the local police department, who were informed about the brawl in the supermarket, arrived very quickly - in the midst of the battle, which had to be interrupted, and the soldier was restrained and taken to the department. There he managed to learn about the reasons for the hostility towards the terminal.
“The detainee urgently needed to call, and he had run out of money on his phone,” said senior police lieutenant Olga Kuznetsova, an investigator at the Department of Internal Affairs for the Northern Butovo district. - And he went to the supermarket to pay for the phone using the machine.
However, an ambush awaited him there. Either the terminal was faulty, or the young man’s bills were a little less than completely destroyed, but the machine flatly refused to accept them. For some reason, verbal persuasion had no effect on the piece of iron. And then the resourceful sufferer decided to convince her by force. At first there were simply claps on the sides - this is how malfunctioning televisions were forced to work in Soviet times. It didn't help. That’s why stronger blows came, backed up by obscene spells. In general, with “sword and magic”, the detainee caused damage to the terminal amounting to 20 thousand rubles. In addition, the young man will not be able to make an unprecedentedly expensive call soon, since he has been brought to criminal liability under the article “deliberate destruction and damage to property.”
