I think that based on the data of three months, we cannot draw conclusions that the economy is entering a phase of stagnation. The main problem in ensuring economic growth is business activity. I can't say that she is tall. But I have no reason to assure that it is falling sharply. A Russian entrepreneur wants to work. But sometimes development occurs not because of, but in spite of.
It is possible that we are seeing the consequences of some of the steps of our leaders. So, in June, the prime minister “attacked” Mr. Artemyev, blaming him for high milk prices; in July, a similar situation occurred with the coke producer Mechel... That is, the government began to fight inflation, grabbing at the prices of individual goods. For a market economy, such treatment is unacceptable. You can attack monopolistic companies, but this is a serious matter - court and all that. But here, as the president put it, business is simply a “nightmare.” But if the government does this, then it must be prepared for a decrease in business activity and a drop in production growth. If market incentives do not work in a country, there is no point in making forecasts about maintaining GDP growth rates and modernizing the economy.
