A discovery recently made by Swedish sociologists has given spouses another reason to become suspicious. But the point is this: divorce, it turns out, is contagious! It spreads almost like the flu - at work: as soon as one gets divorced, their colleagues do the same. Scientists believe that the reason here is generally banal - simply divorced people prefer not to go far to find new happiness, but find it right at their place of service. Men are weaker -
it is easier to take them away from the family.
Don't shoot yourself, guys!
Other scientists from the University of California argue that men suffer more than women during and after divorce. They suffer so much (is it not remorse?) that they commit suicide 2.5 times more often than married people.
Women behave better for two reasons: firstly, because they know how to get rid of negative emotions by screaming, breaking dishes and tears, and secondly, if the court leaves something to the wife during a divorce, it is children.
In most cases, men play the role of the victim, because in almost 90 percent of cases, wives initiate divorces. In a situation of “who is leaving whom,” it is easier for the one who started the divorce.
Former spouses have little chance of ending a fight as friends. Even if, in fact, they have nothing to share. But couples who have gone through a divorce without threats to repeat Raskolnikov’s “feat” often continue to live together. Together is with each other, like husband and wife. Here, as psychologists say, a simple attitude works: they say, the legal spouse will not go anywhere and will endure everything, but with a loved one, but not a certified person, you should be more careful. Such couples, having divorced, suddenly discover that all their problems have disappeared - at least they can have children. And they start it! And some are registering again: Boris Becker, who divorced his wife Barbara two years ago without fights or scandals, is ripe for another marriage. On Barbara.
Do you remember how it all began?
Elena Klimova, a psychologist at the Center for Family Planning and Reproduction No. 2 of the Moscow Health Committee, argues that divorcing spouses need to remember where it all began for them. How they loved, how they cared for each other, how they dreamed of never being apart, and wondering where it all suddenly went? After all, they lived normally! It may happen that people will change their minds about getting a divorce. In any case, these memories will relieve anger and aggression.
In Muslim countries, people do not suffer from divorce - at least the strong half of them. It is enough for a man to tell his wife out loud about the breakup three times (for an Australian aborigine even less - once), and then sign the corresponding paper, and he immediately becomes single. You don’t even have to say anything, but send your wife a message on your mobile phone three times and confirm everything in court. And he doesn’t lose anything: he can get married, not pay alimony, not divide property and keep his children. According to the law, a woman is only entitled to the mercy of her ex-husband: she can live in his house until her son turns 14 and her daughter gets married - of course, if her husband doesn’t resist. Otherwise, a woman ends up on the street after a divorce. Our kings acted a little more humanely - they exiled their wives to monasteries.
Cheating is one of the hottest reasons for divorce. Treason not in fact, but in essence - when people commit adultery not because of a sudden passion, but because it has not been married for a long time. Another common reason is work. Most often, it turns out, families of entrepreneurs, bank employees, creative workers and athletes break up; engineers, workers and teachers get divorced less often. Therefore, the richer the people, the more divorces there are.
Four out of ten Swedish divorces happen because the spouse (or even the spouse)... snores. Funny, of course, but also incompatible. In the “reasons” column, when divorcing, an Italian is free to enter that his wife forces him to wash the dishes. The court will take it into account. In Madagascar, you can get a divorce because the spouse went on a business trip for a long time. To do this, you don’t even need to sign anything - the divorce occurs automatically and is also annulled when the husband returns.
Marriage - by contract
Historians say that there was a blessed time in Rus' when people parted amicably: the wife knew like “Our Father” what she was entitled to and how much - the noblewoman received a quarter of her husband’s capital and a seventh of his estates. Beauty! Over time, divorce turned into hostilities, often with fatal consequences: in Yemen, a husband killed his ex-wife right in the courtroom - because she had sued him for half the house. He is now in prison, and his relatives have taken over the entire house. If this couple had a contract, the wife would be alive and the husband would be free. In another broken family - a French one - the division began because of a dog. A human tragedy, you understand: the ex-husband was sad without his beloved dog, and the evil wife believed that he (the dog!) belonged only to her, since it was given as a gift on the occasion of Valentine's Day. The dog could also be included in the contract.
You can write whatever you want into the marriage contract (that’s what we call it). Only a court can declare any clause invalid (for example, if the wife cared for the children during the marriage, and according to the contract, all property goes to the husband), and then the spouses will face an ordinary divorce with the division of dogs and apartments.
Lawyer's opinion
Everything in half is fair
Candidate of Legal Sciences Anna Varganova, AIV InYurconsulting:
— When it comes only to jointly acquired property, Russian spouses can do without a contract. And it’s even better to do without it, because a marriage contract, in my opinion, can ruin family relationships. According to our laws, everything acquired during marriage is divided equally upon divorce (taking into account the interests of the children, of course). Half for the husband, half for the wife - in my opinion, this is fair. Everything that both had before marriage is considered the personal property of each and remains so. But if spouses have a common business, then a prenuptial agreement must be concluded, otherwise there will be many times more problems than with a regular divorce.
By the way
Steven Spielberg was sued for $125 million by his wife Amy Irving. Stephen, oddly enough, did not resist.
The divorce of director James L. Brooks cost 100 million. His wife felt that this was the price of 26 years of marriage, and the judges agreed with her.
James Cameron was sued for 70 million by his wife Linda Hamilton. In addition, she forbids her “ex” to see her daughter.
Goldie Hawn gave 75 thousand dollars in compensation to her first husband. He wanted one and a half million, so Goldie got off cheap. The next divorce (from Bill Hudson) siphoned $2 million out of her.
