The squabbles in the Union of Cinematographers ended in a pompous and unconditional victory for Nikita Mikhalkov. However, no one expected anything else after the Ministry of Justice did not recognize the winter congress as legitimate.
The Oscar-winner once again proved that he is a brilliant actor and a talented director - his report was like a wonderful one-man show. A minimum of specifics, a maximum of emotions... Only in the story of the sale of shares of the Cinema Center, the great actor lost his rhythm a little and revealed excellent knowledge of the financial side of the issue. But in other cases he sent delegates to more competent managers of the insurance company. Overall, it was beautiful.
And educational. For example, we learned that our weekly newspaper is a magazine. And also: that we played the role of a leak publication in a certain campaign organized by Nikita Sergeevich’s enemies. We also found out that these enemies are very rich - according to the estimates of some specialists whom Mikhalkov hired for the examination (I wonder how much their services cost?), our articles and colleagues from other publications cost about half a million dollars. And finally: naturally, the center of payment for the information raid is located in the USA.
In general, Lenin’s tactics (instead of a reasoned argument, label opponents) and the full set of the Cold War times: evil Americans financed rabid journalists so that they would persecute the great director. Colleagues from Komsomolskaya Pravda have already advised Mikhalkov to drive out such specialists. It's somehow a shame. We join this advice.
As for our newspaper. Nikita Sergeevich, a leak is when someone inside a certain organization (or family) comes to journalists with a stack of documents and talks about some kind of violations and intrigues. About those that no one knows.
We talked about your son-in-law, Albert Bakov, using information from open sources. So why exactly did our publication anger you so much that you could even remember its title?
Perhaps you didn’t like that your former partner Dmitry Piorunsky opened up a joint business scheme? From his words, it turned out that both your son-in-law and you yourself were directly related to the NIKOS holding. But, as far as we know, you have never sued Piorunsky or challenged in court the truths he expressed in an interview.
Perhaps you didn’t like the public information that your son-in-law is included in the list of Finance magazine as one of the richest people in Russia? So this list is not closed. It has been published and no one has ever refuted it.
In general, Nikita Sergeevich, you shouldn’t have trusted strange specialists. They probably judged by themselves. In any case, they offered you a deal that could lead you to court as a defendant.
With your escapade addressed to journalists at the congress, you proved: Nikita Mikhalkov considers himself untouchable, unconditionally and always right, not tolerating not only criticism, but also the slightest contradiction.
The transformation of a great actor into an autocrat and dictator is always a sad sight for fans of his talent.
