Rail medals

Last weekend, the professional holiday was celebrated by all those whose profession is related to the railway. And the day before, on August 3, the gala evening took place on the square of three stations, in the Central Children's Palace of Culture. Minister of the Ministry of Railways Nikolai Aksenenko congratulated his colleagues and guests. Those who especially distinguished themselves were awarded “100 Years of the Trans-Siberian Railway” medals, minted from the rail metal of Russian railways.
“We are not deprived of the president’s attention,” Aksenenko noted. “Shortly before the holiday, he visited our central control panel and noted the high potential of the new equipment. He was also pleased that at the end of December train traffic through the new North Amur tunnel will be opened. The President supported the project to build a railway crossing to Sakhalin. And at the end he said about the railway workers: “Thank God, there is someone to follow as an example!”...
The evening was hosted by Svetlana Morgunova. Feeling emotional, she said that her father and brother were also railway workers.
Those present were shown a film dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Trans-Siberian Railway.
