Yakovleva Elena Alekseevna
Born on March 5, 1961 in the city of Novograd, Zhitomir region. Father Alexey Nikolaevich. A soldier, his mother Valeria Pavlovna works at a research institute.
Elena spent her childhood in Kharkov.
In 1978 she graduated from school. After that, she worked as a librarian and cartographer for two years.
In 1980 she entered GITIS.
In 1983, she made her film debut in the film “Two under one umbrella” by Georgy Yungvald-Khilkevich.
In 1984, she graduated from GITIS and miraculously ended up in the Sovremennik troupe.
Her debut on the stage of this theater was her role in the play “Two on a Swing.”
In 1985, she married actor of the Sovremennik theater Valery Shalnykh. This was her second marriage.
In the same year, she joined the troupe of the Ermolova Theater.
In 1986, Vadim Abdrashitov’s film “Plumbum, or Dangerous Game” was released, in 1987 - “Time to Fly” by Alexei Sakharov, in 1989 - “The Staircase” by the same director.
At the III International Film Festival of Fantastic Films in Rome, Elena received the main prize for her role in the film “The Staircase”.
In 1989, Pyotr Todorovsky’s film “Intergirl” was released. This is a huge success. Yakovleva’s fame was not limited to the scale of our country; people also learned about her abroad.
In 1990, Elena returned to the Sovremennik Theater.
In 1992, she gave birth to a son, whom she named Denis.
