With a winter like the current one, I mean in Moscow, you don’t really enjoy spring anymore. Has it become warm? So it wasn't cold. Did the sparrows scream outside the window? They screamed like that all winter because we fed them, moreover, out of gratitude they pooped the entire balcony for me. Well, the sun is out, yes. Now he sits outside my window at work and takes aim at my eye. I can't see anything on the computer at all. But it's fun. Especially to my colleagues, who, as soon as they look at my shrunken, squinting face, burst into tears no worse than sparrows.
Young ladies think about freckles. Gentlemen think about sex.
And what amazes me every spring is the delightful thirst for life that makes itself felt in every flower pot. When every little grassy thing that has been sitting in a corner all winter, hanging its dusty green ears, suddenly, by some vague signs, understands that its time has come. And it breaks through the ground and climbs out, first pale and sad, then powerful and bright, clinging, climbing, unfurling leaves, swelling buds. And every stick, brought home and placed in water, inflates thick buds, then shoots out bristles of white roots...
The first spots of color appear, the first splashes of green, grass near the sewer well, a sleepy, crumpled butterfly, the first young ladies who have taken off their fur coats and jackets, also still sleepy and wrinkled, but already spreading their wings. The eyes of the mother-and-stepmother, the spring jackets of the little one, who, overjoyed, is already dragging multi-colored buckets and shovels. Balloons and kites in the sky, which is also gradually gaining color - and has been looking almost blue for two whole weeks.
Life received the command “die!” It makes your eyes happy, as if you bought a color TV instead of a black and white one. Shoulders who have received a light jacket instead of a coat feel freedom. The nose is surprised, which can finally smell something other than gasoline and the vinegary smell of de-icer - the smell of dug up earth, shit, dog, grass, first buds, dust, rain, wet asphalt...
I already want to do something - wash the windows, shake out the pantry, do a general cleaning, kill the moths, clean all the pans. Buy yourself something new in a nice clean color, put a new jacket on your child, get new towels at home, put all the flowers from the windowsill under the shower, come up with a new game for the children. So that there is a lot of greenery, color, purity, radiance, cheerful running around, so that it smells of freshness and flowers. Spring has come, align with the sun, freely, die away.
