The greatest benefit to the body comes not from the gelatin that is sold in bags, but from the gelatin obtained at home by long-term cooking of bones and other meat products in fairly large quantities.
For energy storage
Gelatin contains glycine , an amino acid that supplies the body with the energy it needs for full functioning. It is known that protein products contain very little glycine, so gelatin perfectly complements various meat dishes, making meals more complete.
To strengthen bone tissue and avoid osteochondrosis
Protein amino acids such as proline and hydroxyproline are very useful for connective tissues in the human body. It is thanks to their properties that dishes with gelatin are recommended to be consumed more often by people with bone fractures (for faster healing), as well as by people with brittle bones. Therefore, gelatin is useful for those suffering from osteochondrosis.
Taking care of beauty
Our hair, skin and nails need gelatin . In cosmetology, special gelatin masks are used, and for nails - gelatin baths.
Healthy recipe
Prepare a moisturizing and rejuvenating mask from gelatin and milk: pour 1 tsp. gelatin powder (granules or grains) approximately 8 tsp. cold milk. Wait for the gelatin to swell, absorbing all the milk. Then dissolve this swollen mass in a water bath until liquid.
Add another 1 tbsp to the gelatin water. l. milk, stir everything, cool slightly and evenly lubricate cleansed facial skin with the resulting mixture. After 20 minutes, remove the mask with a cotton swab soaked in milk and then rinse your face with water. The mask is suitable for any skin type.
To use the beneficial properties of gelatin , often prepare such delicious dishes as jellied and jelly, brawn and candied fruits, mousses and jellies.
It turns out that gelatin preserves youth
Gelatin is very close in its action to collagen, the protein responsible for the firmness and elasticity of our skin. Its deficiency is one of the main causes of skin aging. Despite the fact that there are many collagen products on the cosmetic market, it has been proven that the collagen molecules contained in them are too large and are not able to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin.
In the case of gelatin , the collagen molecules are broken down and have a higher degree of penetration. Gelatin is especially useful in the presence of age-related changes in the skin, namely the first signs of aging - the formation of wrinkles, lethargy, sagging, loss of elasticity and firmness of the skin.
