Elena, Krasnodar region
Periodontal disease is a dystrophic process of a non-inflammatory nature, in which the necks of teeth are exposed due to the destruction of periodontal tissues (possibly combined with a wedge-shaped defect, enamel erosion, tooth abrasion), but there is no discharge of pus and bleeding gums.
Prevention of periodontal disease Regular visits to the dentist.
Proper and rational nutrition.
Proper oral hygiene.
Taking multivitamins.
Gymnastics
for teeth
Exercise 1.
Biting a tree branch (preferably oak or conifer) from top to bottom (very carefully). During the chewing process, the jaw muscles tense and blood flow is created to the gums, teeth, and salivary glands. The healing components of oak or pine needles actively penetrate into the blood and tooth tissue through diffusion and provide a therapeutic effect.
Exercise 2.
It needs to be added to the first one after two to three weeks: holding the branch tightly with your front teeth, you need to move your jaws alternately back and forth and left and right.
Exercise 3.
You can start working on it after another month: holding one end of the branch firmly with your hand and the other with your teeth, pull the branch, trying to tear off a piece from it.
Folk recipes To strengthen your teeth, you can prepare the following mixture: pour 0.5 liters of vodka into 30 g of dry calamus roots and at the same time infuse 30 g of propolis in 0.5 liters of vodka in another container. Each component is infused for two weeks, after which it is filtered. Application: 1 tsp. propolis tincture and 2 tsp. Mix calamus tincture and rinse your mouth for several minutes.
You can rub honey mixed with salt into your gums: for 20 g of honey, 10 g of table salt. Stir thoroughly until dissolved. Place a lump of the mixture in a cloth and rub your teeth with it.
For periodontal disease and other loosening of the gums, mix tooth powder with calamus root powder (0.5 g calamus per dose) and brush your teeth
3 times a day.
For periodontal disease and caries, rinse your mouth with an aqueous solution of alcoholic (10–15%) propolis extract: 20 drops per 1 glass of water.
If your gums are bleeding, mix 5 tbsp. l. finely chopped pine needles (without branches), 1 tbsp. l. crushed rose hips
and 1 tbsp. l. finely chopped onion peels. Pour the mixture into 1.5 liters of boiling water, bring to a boil and boil for another 5 minutes. This is the daily norm. Drink the decoction warm as tea.
Moisten the bandage with pure fir oil and apply to the gum for 10–15 minutes, avoiding burns. Carry out 15–20 procedures. After 6 months, repeat the course of treatment.
If your gums bleed, it is recommended to wipe them with a powder of burnt alum and salt.
To strengthen your gums, rub them every day with a clove of garlic. The course of treatment is 2 weeks. If necessary, you can repeat it after 5 days.
If your gums are bleeding, it is useful to rinse your mouth with a lukewarm decoction of oak bark and linden blossom. Mix 2 parts oak bark powder and 1 part linden blossom, brew 1 cup boiling water 1 tsp. mixture, heat over heat for 3 minutes and strain after cooling.

Sour cream or butter? Now they say that sour cream is healthier than olive oil (less fatty) - for example, in salads. And that its norm per day for an adult is up to 300 g. But just recently they preferred olive oil! Maybe it’s a matter of dosage - you don’t need a lot of olive oil? And what is better for children? For women? For the elderly? And for men?
Amalia, Moscow First you need to understand what qualities these products have. Real sour cream is a live fermented milk product made only from milk cream and sourdough. Sour cream contains beneficial live bacteria, omega acids, microelements (in particular calcium) and various vitamins (A, E, B2, B12, C, PP). Compared to butter, sour cream contains 4 times less cholesterol.
Doctors have given olive oil and other vegetable oils a good reputation, but not all of them are equally beneficial. Refined and deodorized oils are not only deprived of taste, color and smell, during the purification process they lose some of the beneficial phospholipids, vitamin E and carotenoids. It is these substances that reduce the content of bad cholesterol in the blood and reduce the risk of developing certain tumors. Therefore, unrefined oils are healthier. Vegetable fats, unlike animal fats, are healthier for blood vessels and the heart. But sour cream contains a substance that weakens the harmful effects of animal fats - the most beneficial lecithin. In the human body, it is an important component of cell membranes and ensures normal fat metabolism, improves brain function and cardiovascular system. Thus, the conclusion suggests itself that at any age you need to alternate the use of sour cream and vegetable oils.
How to fry in a frying pan? What is the best way to fry meat, vegetables, and what kind of fat (butter, vegetable oil, or something else)? After all, few people can do without fried food anyway, so it’s better to do it with minimal harm.
Inna, Odintsovo If you cannot refuse fried foods, then still use vegetable oils for frying. You can reduce the amount of carcinogens formed during the frying process by monitoring the temperature, not overheating the pan, and turning the food being cooked frequently. Refined oils are suitable for frying - sunflower, corn, soybean, refined olive and second-pressed olive. But even refined oils should not be overheated when frying (the temperature should not exceed 170–230°C). How can you tell if a frying pan is overheated? Very simple. If smoke appears above the surface of the oil, it means that overheating has occurred and dangerous toxic compounds have begun to form in the oil.

A heart attack unlike itself Now they are talking about asymptomatic heart attacks. What is it, who should be especially wary of it, how to recognize it “at home” (to distinguish it from simple dizziness, fainting, fatigue) and how to act?
Andrey, Moscow Asymptomatic heart attacks have been talked about for a long time. Numerous epidemiological (population) studies and data from pathological and anatomical autopsies of those who died from various causes are as follows: myocardial infarction that does not manifest itself clinically occurs (depending on age and gender) in 0.5–15% of cases. This means that the myocardial infarction occurred with such minimal or atypical manifestations that the person did not seek medical help and the heart attack was not diagnosed. These patients can be called lucky, because in other cases, myocardial infarction is a serious, life-threatening, and sometimes disabling disease (especially without proper and timely treatment). According to domestic researchers, only 17% of all deaths from myocardial infarction die in the country’s hospitals, the remaining 83% of cases occur in the prehospital stage. In the United States, 52.6% of heart attack patients die in the country's hospitals. This indicates that patients do not seek medical care in a timely manner and delay hospitalization.
Most often, asymptomatic myocardial infarction develops in older and elderly patients. Atypical variants (dizziness, fatigue, fainting) are also more common in older people and are caused by deterioration of cerebral circulation against the background of impaired myocardial contractility. There are also options when myocardial infarction develops almost simultaneously with an acute cerebrovascular accident and, accordingly, the patient may have symptoms such as speech impairment, paresis or paralysis, and inappropriate behavior. Speaking about atypical variants of myocardial infarction, one cannot fail to mention the “gastric” mask, when the disease announces itself with nausea, belching, and vomiting. Often in these cases, the patient self-medicates for “acute poisoning,” thereby contributing to further deterioration of the condition. Variants of the disease are also known: arrhythmic (feeling of interruptions in the heart, rapid heartbeat) and asthmatic (feeling of shortness of breath, lack of air). Often, in addition to the typical manifestations in the form of retrosternal compressive pain, a patient with a myocardial infarction is bothered by unusual weakness (“legs feel like cotton wool”), profuse sweating (“he broke out in sweat”), agitation (a person gets up, sits down, cannot find a place for himself, experiencing a feeling of fear or anxiety).
Of course, clinical symptoms are important, but not the only criteria of the disease. Therefore, if your or your loved ones' health suddenly worsens, do not hesitate to seek medical help immediately. If a person has previously been diagnosed with any form of coronary heart disease or has one or more risk factors (smoking, age over 40 in men and 55 in women, arterial hypertension, damage to the arteries of the legs or carotid arteries, diabetes mellitus, obesity, a sedentary lifestyle, increased levels of low-density lipoproteins), the risk of developing a heart attack increases. Such people need to undergo a consultation with a cardiologist, who will prescribe treatment, give advice on lifestyle changes and, taking into account the characteristics of a particular patient, recommend what to do if symptoms appear that may indicate a violation of coronary circulation.
And one last thing. A lot depends on the time of seeking medical help - the “golden time” (that is, the time when, with adequate treatment, myocardial damage will be minimal) from the moment the attack occurs until receiving treatment is from 30 to 90 minutes.

How to properly store cosmetics It seems to me that in order for cosmetics to remain good for a long time, you need to be able to store them correctly, is this true?
Irina, 23 years old, Barnaul Dear Irina, for each cosmetic product there are not only conditions for proper storage, but also expiration dates. The foundation can be stored in a cosmetic bag at room temperature for up to 2 years. If the product suddenly has a strange smell or the consistency changes, immediately throw it in the trash.
The powder can be stored in a cupboard at room temperature for quite a long time. Just remember that when it comes into contact with your face, the sponge absorbs sebum and transfers it to the powder. Because of this, it gradually deteriorates. To prevent this from happening, wash your face and pat dry your face with a towel before applying makeup.
Mascara is very short-lived, I do not recommend you store it for more than 3 months. After the allotted time, it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria, which in turn can lead to eye infections. To keep your mascara fresh for 3 months, don't push the wand in like most people like to do (you know what I mean). Just turn it like a screw or a pipe cleaner without removing it from the tube. This way it will capture the required amount of mascara. After which you can remove the brush and apply eyelashes.
Lipstick can be stored for up to three years. But if you suddenly feel that the lipstick has become too dry, and when applied, it tightens your lips, get rid of it immediately, it is ruined! The ideal place to store lipstick is the refrigerator, in such conditions it will last you longer.
