How the Russian national football team took part in the recording of the anthem in their own support.
The open training session of the Russian national football team is in full swing, when suddenly some guys with guitars appear on the field, Pavlyuchenko and Arshavin join them, and they kick the ball for about 3 minutes on camera and sing something. Journalists are perplexed.
– Who is this anyway? Arshavin is probably recording his next song, so he invited the guys, someone suggests. – After all, he already had a single “Football of My Childhood” out. Probably, he decided to release a whole disc.
As soon as the people with guitars leave the field, journalists pounce on them:
- Guys, who are you anyway?
- “Earthlings”...
“Ah-ah, these are the ones who once sang “Grass near the House,” recalls the most musically savvy one, “but the composer is somehow not the same.”
– Well, yes, only now we decided to record the anthem of football fans, we want to support our team in the qualifying matches for the World Cup.
This happened about a month ago. And last week, “Earthlings” invited everyone to the presentation. A sad sight.
The producer said that even Guus Hiddink took part in the recording of the song. According to legend, he seemed to express a desire to sing the killer line from the chorus in Russian: “Russia, forget it!” And then he turned to Mutko:
– Vitaly, now you have to pay me even more!
- Why is this?
- Now I'm a rock star!
True, Hiddink himself never came to the presentation of the anthem. He has no time for songs these days. They write that after the national team’s colorless matches with Azerbaijan and Liechtenstein, “high circles” in Russia forbade Abramovich to “exploit” Hiddink at Chelsea. And now Roman Arkadyevich is racking his brains over a new mentor for the “aristocrats,” and Gus himself is trying to keep his mark with Chelsea in the Champions League and FA Cup. At the same time, on June 10, he must manage to win an important match for the Russians against the Finns.
In fact, this is not our first attempt to record the anthem of football fans. Something similar had already been done for the 2008 European Championship, but no one remembers it now. So this time, in three minutes of “access to the body” of football stars, “Earthlings” clicked footage of real celebrities and replicated them in their booklets with the inscription: “Phone numbers for organizing tours.”
Football players of Dynamo Moscow and the Russian national team Denis Kolodin and Vladimir Gabulov initially did not sign up for the anthem, but they were invited to the presentation, and before that in the hall they were asked to shout the chorus: “Russia, come on! Hit, hit, score!”
“I haven’t heard the song itself, so I don’t know the lyrics,” Kolodin is embarrassed.
– Do you think the players of our national team will be paid at least a penny for participating in these “mask shows”? – I ask Viktor Onopko.
“I’m not privy to the intricacies of this matter, but I think it’s unlikely that anything will happen to them.”
Having listened to the anthem in my spare time, I did not find in it the voices of Arshavin, nor Pavlyuchenko, nor Kolodin and Gabulov, nor, of course, Hiddink... This is how we like to advertise for free.
