Please tell me why calluses constantly appear, because we don’t walk barefoot on the ground?

– A wet callus is formed as a result of acute trauma to an area of skin, for example, from uncomfortable shoes; such a callus is characterized by the presence of fluid under the damaged layer of skin. Dry callus forms due to long-term, repeated damage to the skin and appears as dead skin layers, usually on the toes and soles of the feet.
Asymmetry of calluses indicates a greater load on one of the feet; the reason should be clarified at an appointment with an orthopedic traumatologist.
If you are putting on new shoes, stock up on a patch in advance - not a callus patch, which is intended for dry calluses, but with a bactericidal pad. And if you feel that your shoes are starting to rub your skin, use it immediately without waiting for a callus to appear.
To treat dry calluses, keratolytic preparations are used, the use of which softens the callus tissue, which allows it to be eliminated using manicure (pedicure) tools.
