Thrush or vaginal candidiasis is a fungal inflammation of the vaginal mucosa.
Why does it occur:
Fungi are normally present in a woman’s vagina, but in minimal quantities. When exposed to unfavorable factors, they can begin to multiply rapidly, causing inflammation. Provoking factors: irrational diets and weight loss techniques, chronic stress, uncontrolled use of antibiotics, serious illnesses (tuberculosis, diabetes, HIV infection, sexually transmitted infections), hypothermia, hypovitaminosis.
What it shows:
Itching and burning sensation in the vagina and external genitalia, whitish cheesy discharge. Often, sex life deteriorates significantly, since intimacy causes discomfort and even pain.

Vaginal smears and examination of discharge are informative.

What to do
Warm baths and douching with anti-inflammatory and disinfectants. Antifungal drugs are also prescribed orally and locally in the form of vaginal tablets or suppositories.
Traditional treatment
If you have thrush, it is recommended to exclude beer and other drinks and foods containing yeast from your diet. But you can and should drink a decoction of St. John’s wort, rose hips, and echinacea to boost immunity.
Baths with sea salt help to reduce the unpleasant symptoms of candidiasis. Remember that the water should be warm, not hot. And the duration of the procedure varies from 15 to 25 minutes.
For washing
It is recommended to prepare the following decoction. Mix 3 parts oak bark, 1.5 parts string, 2 parts nettle roots and 1 part lavender. Stir. Pour 2 tbsp. l. collect a glass of boiling water, let it brew for 2 hours and strain. Add another half glass of water and use to wash.
Local baths can be carried out using the following collection. Take equal parts of juniper berries, yarrow grass, sage leaves, eucalyptus, chamomile and calendula flowers, silver birch and black poplar buds. Pour 2 tbsp. l. collect a liter of boiling water, let it brew overnight in a thermos. The medicine is ready. It can be used in the form of local baths or taken orally 50 ml 4 times a day. The course of treatment is 1 month.
