On New Year's holidays, a parade of snowmen will take place on the embankment of the city of Dimitrovgrad. The best “sculptor” will be rewarded not with a banal calendar with a rabbit and not with applause, but with 10 thousand rubles!
At a time when all Russians are peacefully snoring in front of their TVs with bowls of salad, the authorities of the Ulyanovsk region have come up with an original activity for their residents. And for all ten days of the weekend.
A parade of... snowmen will take place on the embankment of the city of Dimitrovgrad. Both ordinary citizens and entire enterprises will take to the streets to make snowmen. Teams from organizations will certainly be made up of the best employees who worked hard in 2010...
For sculpting, competitors, except snow, are allowed to use all available materials. Wood, plastic, foam rubber, fabric, metal - whatever your heart desires - will be used. And a special commission of city hall representatives will evaluate the originality of the idea and the quality of the snowmen.
And now the most interesting thing... These snowmen will not be simple, but “golden”. The best “sculptor” will be rewarded not with a banal calendar with a rabbit and not with applause, but with 10 thousand rubles!
By the way, 10 thousand is the average salary of a simple worker in Ulyanovsk. Cash bonuses are also promised for other prizes. Alas, their size has not yet been determined.
Perhaps it’s time for the capital’s authorities to take this example into account. And immediately, before all of Moscow was covered in snow. Only prizes should be given not for the best snowman, but for the largest snowdrift collected from the city roads. You can also organize a competition “Who can clean the sidewalk better.” And actively conduct it once a week among utility workers. Although, perhaps, for such monetary rewards, not only janitors, but any Russian will go out onto the street with a shovel.
So there would be an incentive, and then there would be workers. Even on holidays.
