Month after month, week after week, we are subject to cyclone attacks. They created a literal walk-through yard out of the European continent. They sow dampness, dankness and a cloudy mood.
And if earlier the arrival of the next cyclone was not given serious importance, well, it came, went, and life goes on, but now they began to pay close attention to the intrusive aliens. They form suspiciously often and persistently, interfere in our lives, change our understanding of the climate and the form of clothing.
And now our Atlantic cyclones have ceased to be anonymous; now they are given sonorous names, like formidable typhoons. The honor is dubious, if you keep in mind that the merits of cyclones are only in the area of bad weather and literally creating headaches for you and me. And although scientists have not yet come to a clear conclusion about the effect of changes in atmospheric pressure on people’s well-being, the lack of sunny days still affects their mood and, as a result, their vitality. So if you feel apathetic, lethargic or overwhelmed, if you are unfocused and do not want to do anything, then now you are able to directly name the culprit. For your information: not so long ago we were tormented by Emma, when her strength ran out, the more recent Joanna took over for us, and then a cyclone named Kirsten arrived. And we continue to prepare: the cyclones will not leave us alone. Next week, however, they will lower our vigilance a little. At times there will be clear skies and sunshine. But there is no particular warmth yet, it is increasingly damp and dank.
The only small consolation is that now, when asked by your wife why you are so tired today and going to bed so early, you can boldly and with impunity answer: “Emma tortured me!”
