Vegetables accounted for a significant share of this rise in price: old stocks were eaten, new ones had not yet been grown. But if in Europe they have risen in price by 13%, then in our country they have risen by 27%. In addition, European prices for meat, milk, butter, seafood, and bread have decreased at least a little (-0.2%), while in our country, on the contrary, they have increased by 0.5%.
“In the summer, the tension will subside a little,” says Igor Polyakov, leading expert at the Center for Macroeconomic Analysis and Short-Term Forecasting. – Vegetables and fruits will become cheaper – this is a seasonal pattern. Popular goods - pasta, cereals, milk should also slow down their growth. Their prices rose, because during the crisis people relied more on these products. Now people are returning meat and fish to their diet. Most likely, poultry and pork will maintain the price level - their production is growing (except for legs and wings, which may become more expensive due to the weakness of cutting production in Russia). The most difficult thing is with beef - there is still little of it, and prices are possible to rise. It is better to buy sugar now, during a downward trend. During the procurement period (July - August), prices traditionally rise.
Manufacturers of famous denim brands have already announced that customers should prepare for price increases. The price of the raw material, cotton, is rising, by almost a third. Cotton clothes will become the same amount more expensive. And after trousers and blouses made from natural materials, items made from artificial materials will follow.
This situation was created for us by farmers in the USA and China, who unanimously switched from growing cotton to cultivating corn and soybeans for biofuels. They promise to improve the situation by next year.
Movable and immovable
Real estate prices have been stable for several previous months and have moved from a dead point - albeit by a fraction of a percent, but upward. This is facilitated by the calming of the market, the passing of the crisis shock and the freezing of a number of construction projects, which reduces the number of proposals.
Cars are becoming more expensive – both new and used. The old car recycling program has wiped out all the stocks of new cars, creating a shortage that pushes up prices.
Traditionally, gasoline prices rise in the summer, but this year it will not be so easy for oil magnates to do so: the FAS has already punished LUKOIL for price sins. Lower oil prices are also keeping the kings of gas stations from running wild. Although experts believe that there will still be an increase in gasoline prices: some factories are closing for re-equipment.
Rest
The world is uneasy. But, as experience shows, this is only to the advantage of Russian tourists - prices for travel packages are falling, and our citizens cannot be frightened by unrest.
“Now you can find trips to Thailand for $500, although the flight there alone should cost $600,” press secretary of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Irina Tyurina told Interlocutor.
Due to political circumstances, a similar “freebie” appeared in the resorts of Greece. Travel to Europe this summer is also facilitated by the depreciation of the euro - therefore, trips to EU countries will cost less. This is a time when currency problems can be celebrated.
