At the World Aquatics Championships in Melbourne, our synchronized swimmers won 6 gold medals and 1 silver. The Russians won all group events, and in singles Natalya Ishchenko took second place in the free program. In the unofficial team competition for synchronized swimmers, Russia confidently took first place, ahead of the teams of Spain and Japan.

Russian national team, freestyle wrestling

The Russians won the World Cup in freestyle wrestling, which took place in Krasnoyarsk. In the final, our wrestlers met the Iranian team and won 5:2, and Russian Georgy Ketoev was recognized as the best wrestler of the tournament. The third place was taken by the Uzbekistan team, which in a bitter struggle (literally) defeated Georgia with a score of 4:3.

Gleb Galperin, diving

After the disastrous performance of the Russian pair Galperin - Dobroskok in synchronized ski jumping, Gleb was still able to win the gold medal. In the ten-meter platform jump, he scored 554.7 points and was 35 points ahead of China's Zhou Luxin. This gold was the first for the diving team at the World Championships.
