Neglects

A friend recently called and complained: her poodle refuses to go for walks. Previously, he was eager to do so, he was on duty at the door, but now he hides in a corner. They began to figure out what happened to the dog. A few days later, through observations, we found out: he doesn’t like spring puddles - they are dirty and wet. A friend began putting boots on the poodle, and now they are happily walking again.

Fear of the street can manifest itself in different ways. Some dogs hide under the sofa, others put all their paws in front of the door. Still others can be lured into fresh air, but they shake with horror and drag the owner back into the entrance.

Why? For example, a dog is afraid of loud noises. Soon it will be May, thunderstorms and holidays will begin - firecrackers will burst more often, and on May 9, fireworks will thunder everywhere. After such a cannonade, the dog may become stressed, which will discourage him from going for walks for a long time. Therefore, on days of national festivities, it is better to leave Bobby at home.

One day, my mongrel and I were going down the stairs, at that moment someone threw an empty bottle into the garbage chute, which flew down with a roar. This sound scared my dog ​​so much that she became afraid to go out into the entrance. I took her leash and said: “Nearby!” and opened the door from the apartment. The command must be pronounced as strictly as possible so that the dog obeys.
You can resort to other methods. For example, stop playing games at home, or better yet, hide all toys away. But if you manage to lure the dog into the fresh air, start playing with it. Very soon she will understand that it is not as scary on the street as it seems to her dog's eyes.
