We begin to think about blood vessels closer to old age. But it should be earlier - vascular problems appear long before a person begins to prepare for retirement. And they, which is especially offensive, successfully camouflage themselves.
Broken capillaries
In a healthy person, the vessels are not visible, their integrity is not damaged by itself. Bleeding from the nose can be caused by a chronic inflammatory process, a network of burst vessels in the eye - conjunctivitis, any damage to the capillaries - an overdose of antipyretics and painkillers (citramon, aspirin, paracetamol), vitamin C. It is generally accepted that ascorbic acid strengthens the vascular wall, but this coin also has a downside: if vitamin C enters the body in in large doses (it happens that children eat ascorbic acid like candy), the effect is the opposite - the walls of blood vessels become fragile. But if the capillaries burst in a person over 40 years old, doctors recommend checking the blood pressure first: if it is elevated, bleeding, for example, from the nose, works as a protective mechanism - the pressure decreases.
Dark mesh on hips
This is a sign of reticular varicose veins - expansion of vascular “branches” that extend from the reticular, that is, feeding, veins. They are located intradermally, which is why they are so noticeable when expanded. Such varicose veins are also called cosmetic, hinting that although they do not decorate the appearance, they are, in principle, harmless. So it is, but reticular varicose veins can be a “bell” about hormonal imbalance. The network of dilated vessels is removed using microsclerotherapy - it will not disappear by itself, because the venous wall does not have a muscle component and is not able to contract. That is why it is pointless to expect that varicose veins will disappear on their own: if, in addition to the blue mesh, protruding veins and nodules appear, then it’s time to see a phlebologist or surgeon. Although the fact that the veins have become more noticeable may not mean anything serious - this happens, for example, after working out in the gym, fast walking, being in the heat, working with your hands for a long time (for example, hand washing) - under stress, blood flow increases, to which the veins react by expanding.
Red spots
They may be a consequence of the special sensitivity of the vessels - people with such vessels from childhood easily turn red or turn pale, or they may also be a symptom of atherosclerosis and hypertension. To find out the reason, you need to donate blood for cholesterol and check your blood pressure at the moment when red spots appear.
Small red “drops” on the skin may be a sign of liver dysfunction - a biochemical blood test and ultrasound will clarify the situation.
Small bruises
Their frequent appearance for no apparent reason is a possible sign of vascular fragility and blood clotting disorders. If bruises are combined with heavy menstruation or increased bleeding of the gums, you should consult a hematologist or therapist. To assess the blood coagulation system, two tests are done - clinical and detailed coagulogram.
