“Ukraine is implementing the long-range sanctions plan against Russia and the assigned tasks of conducting medium-range strikes in response to Russia’s refusal to end this war. We offered the Russian leadership all possible formats for negotiations, but the answer was only a continuation of aggression and attempts to expand it. It is logical that the war returns to where it came from. Ukraine needs peace,” Zelensky added.
The leader of Ukraine also recalled that the Russian military, in turn, inflicts hundreds of strikes on Ukrainian cities and other populated areas. According to him, over the past week alone, “the Russians launched 1,920 attack drones, 1,790 guided bombs and 17 missiles of various types into Ukraine.” He promised to discuss strengthening protection against shelling and attacks at the G7 summit, which will be held in France from June 15 to 17, 2026.

Eva (Russia). The war changed and broke something in me. In the first months after February 24, 2022, I looked at my colleagues, my relatives and friends and did not understand where so much anger and cruelty suddenly came from in them. My hopes for a decent future were replaced by despair, shame, bitterness and helplessness.
There was only one person in my circle who in the same way considered this war to be an inhuman crime of a distraught old man - it was my grandfather, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. We tried not to talk too much about the details of what was happening in front of him. He reacted violently to every news: he cried bitterly, became very angry and repeated: “Why?”
Every day of my life, he taught me to know the value of peace, human life and never allow the thought that war could be good. In our city, he was the last person to survive the Second World War. In 2023, his place in the victory parade was given to a returning “hero” criminal. Apparently, he could not stand this, and very soon he was gone.
Every day I felt hard, scared and hurt for everyone into whose home the tyranny of the Russian authorities came. I can't stand to see people who still believe a bunch of crooks in the government, rejoice in human death and don't even know what's happening right now in the neighboring country. I would like to say one thing: “People, wake up!!!”
