A Moscow court ruled to deport two citizens to Turkmenistan who “demonstrated the attractiveness of non-traditional sexual attitudes” at the Sadovod market.
Information about the cases appeared on the website of courts of general jurisdiction in Moscow. Two foreigners were convicted on August 20. People with men's passports wore women's clothing. The judge claims that the clothes were “accompanied” by the slogan “Freedom of choice” - but it is not clear how this slogan was voiced.
“committed propaganda of non-traditional sexual preferences <...> namely, a demonstration of one’s appearance, dressed in women’s clothing, accompanied by the slogan “Freedom of choice,” openly demonstrating the attractiveness of non-traditional sexual preferences,” is identical wording in both court decisions.
As Caution News learned , police detained two traders from this market. The media calls them Khasanchon R. and Yorgibegi M.: these are passport data that may turn out to be a dead name. There is no information on whether R. and M. are transgender or cisgender either on the channel or on the court’s website. “Caution News” also learned that the detainees have Tajik citizenship.
In the texts of decisions, the judge indicates conflicting information. First it is said that R. and M. admitted guilt, then they say that they did not admit it. It is unknown whether they will challenge the court's decision or whether they have lawyers.
The court ruled that R. and M. must spend ten days under arrest and then go to the Sakharovo foreigners detention center for deportation.
