We often return on our pages to this topic, which, I believe, do not surprisely, given the language of the publication and the growth rate of the Russian -speaking Internet - in particular, at the expense of our compatriots.

By the New Year (I hope, Jewish), on this site all the released issues of our heading from the first to 63rd, in the codes of KOI8, CP1251 and CP866, will be placed on this site. I do not promise that I will have time to make a table of contents before the holidays, however, in an archivated form, all of them will be unequivocally available for shipment from the server (the archives are already prepared, and only the untimely interference of the company "Bezuk" prevents me from loading them to the "sharat" at this very moment).
We will start today's review with an eternal and sore topic - Russification of various systems. One of the best documents on this issue is at the address:

Who did not guess, SIB is the famous Swinformburo Vadim Maslov, one of the most popular Russian servers on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. In the section dedicated to the Russification of “everything that moves”, you can find files with Russian fonts, drivers and keyboard scripts for almost any operating system and type of computer, whether it be PC, Macintosh, Silicon Graphics or Sun Sparcstation. In addition to the files on the server, Maslov contains a certain many links for various documents for Russification of systems - including the three peacekeepers of the popular page of Andrei Chernov about KOI8 (by the way, it has probably come for time to decipher this erotically sounding: which means "coding of information exchange", and not at all what they think). The last remark on the topic of koi. In the course of a recent experiment in public, conducted on vast expanses between Moscow and Jerusalem, a curious fact was noticed. A letter sent from Eudora 2.2 in the coding of CP1251 reached the addressee in the coding of KOI8 (the recipient’s mail client is Netscape Mail 3.0, decisively thrown over the Russian Windows 95). How this could happen, it is strongly incomprehensible, but the fact remains: it came. Netscape Communication Corp. Neither in the documentation for its postal client, nor in its other reference literature, it did not reflect such an opportunity.
And now - about Russia. There these days, the WWW enthusiasts team launches the "paper" Internet magazine. Among the founders are the philologist Roman Leibov, the inventor of the novel and the term of the PPP, known in the wide virtual circles of three continents under the name of May Ivanovich Mukhin; journalist Evgeny Gorny (editor -in -chief); Noble secretary Sergei Kuznetsov (whose articles can be found at http://www.sharat.co.il/krok/) and other remarkable characters, which are mostly included in the organizing committee of the Tenet competition. The Zhurnal.ru domain has been registered for the event, but so far it has not yet been able to configure it, and therefore it is recommended to temporarily look for the bends at http://zhurnal1.isph.ru/.
At the same time, a new weekly television program is being prepared about the Internet, it seems, on the Ostankino channel. This, however, is the terrible secret of the company, therefore, we will temporarily refrain from the publication of the details, especially since the program has not yet acquired your own site, and there is literally nowhere to watch it - neither in the virtual space, nor in the etheric one. It is pleasant, however, that the Israeli side is actively (albeit secretly) involved in the preparation of the project, the working name of which was borrowed from where.
Even in Russia, the first “online search and selection service of personnel in cyberspace” (read: the Internet Labor Exchange), at http://www.hro.ru/. As Sergey Burnin, the HRO administrator, was told to us, in the near future, the Vernissage is being prepared on this server, in which all artists who are interested in the network demonstration of their own works are invited to take part.
The intermediary between the HRO and our heading was a long and well -familiar topic of Lebedev (http://www.tema.ru/), who himself participates in the vernissage. Fresh news from the Tream Server we will end our review today. Over the next month at http://www.design.ru/aquarium/ an official home page of the legendary St. Petersburg rock band will open. Already today, you can find many sites with texts, music, discography and materials about the aquarium on the Web, but the new page (created by joint works of Lebedev’s theme and a well -known Jerusalem poet Dema Kudryavtsev, now temporarily Russian) will be the first official and authorized exit of the beloved team to the network.
