The traditional principle of uniting thinkers and intellectuals was partisanship - commitment to a common idea. In the interhuman space of the authors of “Other,” there is a premonition of a fundamentally different spiritual community: a corporation of individuals who have realized that they, to one degree or another, possess (not of their own free will) a channel of personal Revelation. Ideology in its traditional sense is the last thing Russia needs now. “Other” is a screen through the holes in which the contours of the meaning of the upcoming metahistorical period are discerned. And the absence or shortage of any of them can lead to irreversible losses in the self-awareness of a country that is on the verge of change. The main task of “Other,” from the point of view of the compiler, is to ensure that others from the circle of authors read and think deeply about the works of others. The result can be a chain reaction of enormous spiritual power.
