The press service of the Ministry of Defense made a statement that states that the deadlines for the completion of the operation in Chechnya (which is not quite logically called counter-terrorism) are in no way connected with the signing of the Treaty on ordinary weapons in Europe in Istanbul on November 19. The reason for this statement was the Western media reports that, in connection with the signing of the adapted agreement, the command of the Russian troops intends to complete the operation until the end of November. Despite the uncertain time, the operation to destroy terrorists, as follows from the statement, will in no way affect the compliance with Russia's terms of the contract.
