David Bowie will become a father
This week it became known that David Bowie and his wife, supermodel Iman, are expecting a new addition to their family in August.

53-year-old Bowie and his wife, who is over forty, were delighted with the news of their unborn child. They decided not to overload themselves with work in the coming months in order to devote themselves entirely to preparing for the upcoming event. The singer's fans may even be upset by the news that David will play "a couple of concerts, no more" in the next six months.
“This is a wonderful event for both of us,” said Bowie in a statement. “We have waited long and patiently for this to happen. We wanted all the circumstances to work out well so that we could spend as much time as possible with our child.”
However, the absence of the future father of the family on the stage is unlikely to have a negative impact on the family budget. David Bowie is now Britain's richest musician. Moreover, in recent years, a significant part of his income comes not from the sale of albums, but from the singer’s registered shares listed on the stock market. In addition, this year David started a new business, creating his own online bank. Its investors were mainly Bowie fans, who did not miss the chance to acquire credit cards with a portrait of the singer.
Bowie and Iman married in 1992. David wrote music especially for the wedding, which was supposed to please both his Christian-English-speaking relatives and the relatives on the bride’s side - Syrian Muslims. Subsequently, this music was included in the album "Black Tie, White Noise".
This was the second marriage for both, and each partner has an adult child from a previous marriage. Bowie has a son, Zoe, who is now 28 years old, from his previous wife Angie (he was married to her from 1970 to 1980). Iman has an adult daughter, Zuleikha, from her marriage to famous basketball player Spencer Haywood.
