On May 6, opens at the Central State Exhibition Hall “New Manege” (Georgievsky Lane, 3/3) the exhibition photo project “Dedication”, dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the end of World War II, . For the first time, photographic documents reflecting events in Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania are presented together. Russian, French, American, Polish, Norwegian, German and other photo archives took part in the exhibition. One exhibition combines photographs by unknown front-line photographers and masterpieces of stars of domestic and world photography. This is the first major project within the framework of the opening Third International Month of Photography in Moscow "Photobiennale-2000".
On May 6 (as well as the 5th) will be performed on the stage of the Variety Theater the St. Petersburg play “California Suite” with Oleg Basilashvili and Alisa Freindlich
On May 7, the Mossovet Theater will host the premiere of the play “Mother Courage and Her Children,” based on Brecht’s play and directed by Pavel Chomsky. The main role will be played by Valentina Talyzina .
On May 6 and 7, opens in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory the European tour of the Cologne Symphony Orchestra . Under the baton of the orchestra's chief conductor Semyon Bychkov, works by Beethoven, Brahms, Poulenc, Richard Strauss and Gubaidulina will be performed.
On May 7, center the DOM will host a concert by the ensemble named after Dmitry Pokrovsky (Russia) and saxophonist Mike Ellis (USA).
