The appointment of Mufti Ahmed Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen administration, as it turns out, was not accidental. The director of the FSB Nikolai Patrushev told the press that Kadyrov’s candidacy was considered for a long time at the FSB and the Council of Ministers. Russian politicians reacted to Putin’s decision mostly calmly. Only the failed candidate for this position is indignant - the head of the State Council of Chechnya Malik Saydullaev and Ruslan Aushev, who has now fallen into disgrace. Saydullaev calls the purpose of a “deep mistake”, which will have “the most negative consequences”. According to Sydullaev, generals who contributed to Kadyrov received this post are interested in continuing the conflict in Chechnya. "With their actions, they simply framed President Putin in his Chechen politics, and this will become obvious two months later."
Ingush President Aushev is not so categorical. He simply thinks that Kadyrov would be in principle in the "military-political situation in the republic" to change. At the same time, Aushev, of course, agrees that it was the military, who used great influence today, at one time appointed Nikolai Koshman, now the mufti candidacy was lobbied.
