RAO UES and the Ministry of Railways have agreed

Yesterday a meeting was held under the leadership of the first deputy heads of the Ministry of Railways of Russia and RAO UES of Russia, Alexander Misharin and Leonid Melamed. During the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the procedure for interaction between the parties in order to end the energy crisis on Russian railways.

According to the Public Relations Center of the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation, the parties have determined the procedure for resolving controversial financial issues, the mechanism for reconciliation and mutual settlements. The parties confirmed their intentions to switch to the practice of making financial payments for electricity at the “railway - regional energy company” level.

RAO "UES of Russia" has undertaken to recall the telegram sent to its regional divisions and containing demands to de-energize the railways.
