Chechnya is investigating the incident with the NTV journalist

The military leadership began an official investigation about the plot shown on the NTV television channel from Khankala, where the headquarters of the combined group of federal troops is located. Recall that on the eve of the live program “Results”, the deputy head of the Chechen administration, Buslan Gantamirov, was supposed to answer questions from the presenter. However, the NTV correspondent at the appointed time did not get in touch. Appearing on the air later, he said that Gantamirov did not come for some reason, and some armed people almost under the threat of arrest demanded that the journalists immediately stop working and even put them on the ground. It is worth recalling once again that all this happened at the headquarters of the Russian military group in the North Caucasus. The witness of this, according to journalists, the ugly scene was one of the commanders of riot police, who was nearby. According to him, 3 people in military uniforms approached the film crew and laid the operator on the ground. They explained their actions with the supposedly inadequate behavior of journalists.

According to the NTV correspondent in Chechnya Vadim Fofilov, the military consider the direct exits of correspondents on the air of news programs as a violation of the law. This opinion was expressed by a correspondent in the press center of the group of federal forces in the North Caucasus. Any video shooting, and the television and live broadcast is considered a video, should be authorized by the press center of the united group in Hankala. According to the NTV correspondent, people who broke the live broadcast work in the press center of the United Group. According to the colonel himself, he is an employee of the press center of the united group, and his duties include command by all journalists who work in Chechnya. He manages where journalists can go, what they should do and what material they should be broadcast. In addition, according to the colonel, correspondents are required to show the captured and written material to him personally.

Today, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Colonel General Valery Manilov said that the incident shown in the plot was inspired by NTV journalists themselves. Manilov claims that "a certain commander of OMON, which was shown in the plot, apparently, is a dummy person." However, the moment when the unknown closed the camera lens was removed from another point. And on this shooting it is clearly visible that this was done by a man in military uniform. Who he and whose instructions were followed is still unknown.

However, according to the First Deputy Head of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, the NTV correspondent himself roughly violated the order of stay and work in the war zone. What these violations are expressed, the military, however, do not yet specify.

The General Staff has all the blame for the incident to the NTV correspondent Vadim Fafilov, who was at the time of the incident live with the studio of the results of the results. “We associate this with a specific correspondent, and not with the channel with which the Ministry of Defense intends to work closely,” the representative of the military department said.

The circumstances of yesterday’s incident with the NTV group in Hankal are personally studied by the assistant to the Russian president Sergey Yastrzhembsky. He already apologized to the NTV audience and stated that the incident in Khankala became the result of the "unauthorized actions of one of the employees of the military press center."

Today, in an interview with the Ekho Moskvy radio station, NTV Director Vladimir Kulistikov said that the NTV correspondent Vadim Fofilov remains to work in Chechnya.
