Russian legionnaire Alexander Panov, who played for Saint-Etienne, was loaned by the club's new head coach John Toshack to the Swiss Lausanne until the end of the season. The Russian national team forward was unable to take part in the match with the Luxembourg team due to chronic sinusitis.
