| A powerful explosion occurred at the main entrance to the Sverdlovsk-Pasazhirsky railway station on Monday afternoon. According to preliminary data from FSB officers in the Sverdlovsk region, it was caused by careless handling of a gas cylinder by one of the hot sausage sellers. Fortunately, no one died, but within an hour, 15 people were taken to the city's medical facilities. Most of the victims received severe cuts from glass fragments knocked out by the blast wave. In addition, several people received bruises and fractures during the panic that arose after the explosion. Representatives of the police and the FSB are not inclined to consider the machinations of terrorists in this emergency. Ironically, at the time of the explosion, the first meeting of the Municipal Security Council was taking place at the Yekaterinburg City Hall. At it, city authorities and law enforcement agencies developed a set of measures to protect the lives and property of city residents and important city facilities. Valery GUSTOV, Ekaterinburg
