| LUKOIL announced the acquisition of a 72% stake in the American company Getty Petroleum Marketing, which owns 1,300 gas stations in the eastern states of the United States on a long-term lease basis. The purchase price is just over $50 million. Attempts by the American company United Refining to block Getty's deal with LUKOIL through the courts failed. United Refining offered 20% more for Getty shares than LUKOIL, but the New York State Supreme Court found the Russian company's offer more reliable. The buyer of Getty shares on behalf of LUKOIL was Mikecon Corp. "TIME FOR NEWS"
