How many times have the Kremlin been warned: "Stop stepping on a rake." Back in Soviet times, Yuri Karyakin wrote about this.
But no, nothing helps: they come. And get on the forehead. Why? Not why they get hit on the forehead - this is understandable - why are they so stubbornly stepping on a rake? Because they think everyone around them is an idiot. But if the Kremlin regularly gets punched in the forehead, then who, what quality and intellectual dignity are the people sitting there?
Aims and means
The leaders of Gazprom-Media claim that the only thing that drives them in the war with NTV is the desire to save the company, which is on the verge of bankruptcy, and return the money spent on it in the form of profits.
If so, why is Mr. Boris Yordan appointed as CEO, who:
- was forced to leave the investment company "Renaissance-Capital" precisely because he turned out to be an unsuccessful leader;
- was forced to leave the oil company SIDANCO precisely because he turned out to be an ineffective anti-crisis manager;
- forced to sue investors of his own Sputnik fund in New York City, because he turned out to be an unsuccessful manager of other people's investments;
— has a dubious reputation in the business community on both sides of the ocean.
"Why was Jordan appointed?" “Because a person with a decent reputation would not play such games,” one of the leading financiers of the country answered me.
If the shareholders of the best television company in the country really want to make this business financially efficient, then why was Vladimir Kulistikov elected as the new editor-in-chief of NTV, who:
- left the TV company when it became in opposition to the authorities;
- immediately received the post of head of the state propaganda department - RIA Novosti, in the past the journalistic "roof" of the KGB;
- is in extremely hostile relations with the leading journalists of the television company?
The answer is obvious: business, solving financial problems are neither a priority nor a goal.
The appointment of an unsuccessful investor, an ineffective anti-crisis manager, who does not understand the funds of the general director and is indebted to the Kremlin, who is in conflict with the editorial office of the editor-in-chief, has the only goal - to liquidate the business and destroy the opposition journalistic team. Such a conclusion is dictated by elementary logic.
The only thing that strikes me is the cynicism of this whole active event. One could at least try to keep a face, at least make the appearance of compliance with the declared goals. Not deemed necessary. Why?
time and place
Gazprom-Media held its controversial shareholder meeting on the same day and at the same time, although in a different place, when President Vladimir Putin delivered his address to the people's representatives in the Kremlin — State Duma deputies and members of the Federation Council.
The fact that the meeting of shareholders will be held on April 3 has been known and announced for a long time. The day of the publication of the presidential message was chosen after this announcement.
The question is: did the Kremlin really not notice the coincidence of the two events?
If I believed in a conspiracy theory, I would think that this coincidence is not accidental.
The president, choosing between two versions of the message - conservative and liberal, chose the most liberal one, which, of course, should have caused harsh criticism of the communists and apologists for the empire. Therefore (if we follow the conspiracy theory and the technology of provocations), then he would have to take steps that could obscure the liberality of words with the harshness of steps. A kind of Pinochet in the Russian version.
Agree, such logic, no matter how disgusting it may be, at least has a rational component under it.
An no. I find out: this issue was discussed in the Kremlin. Smart heads wondered: is there a need for a scandal on the day the president publishes his annual message? We decided: don't care, everything will be fine.
Normally, as you know, it did not work out. The absolute majority of both relatives and the Western media made an unequivocal conclusion from the coincidence: the message is nothing more than words, Putin's real deeds - here they are, in the story with NTV. The general public, busy with the scandal, did not notice the message at all.
The question is: how could the well-known political technologists of the Kremlin, who only yesterday claimed that “everything turns out - even uninteresting”, could have miscalculated like that?
Answer: they could not help but miscalculate. Because management is synonymous with the word "information". Without complete information, there can be no complete management. However, by strangling the opposition media and listening only to those media that only sing what the Kremlin itself orders them to, the people behind the Wall have lost touch with reality. They just don't know what is really going on behind the gates of the Kremlin.
Therefore, inevitably, sooner or later, they had to step on the very rake that they put on others. They have arrived. And got on the forehead.
It seems to the Kremlin that reality is rating numbers. Meanwhile, rating is only one facet of a multidimensional world. For a year, while people behind the Wall reveled in their "everything is working out", opposition turned out. Koya, unlike those who dutifully declare their love for "a guy from our yard" - Putin (they make up the rating numbers), has a voice and no longer intends to speak in a whisper. And the more the Kremlin stifles the media, the more there will be those who do not want to return to talking in the kitchen. And then Putin will have to make a choice: either finally turn to the Belarusian path, flavored with Latin American experience (disappearance of people in opposition to the authorities, arrests, fresh burial grounds), or understand: Chile will not work, there will be no liberal economy without liberal politics. There will be isolation from the civilized world, monopolization and militarization of the economy and, as a result, growing poverty.
And there will be a very bad memory in history.
In connection with and about
I hasten to inform Mr. Medvedev, Vyakhirev and Koch, the heads of Gazprom and Gazprom Media, that I intend to sue the gas monopoly for fraudulent distribution of the company's profits to its minority shareholders, which I am.
In the five years that have passed since the privatization of Gazprom, my dividends amounted to about 9 rubles, net of income tax. As is now known, at the same time, Gazprom not only built a luxurious building on Nametkin Street, and another one on Kaluga Highway, and probably many others, but, as it turned out, invested or guaranteed another billion dollars in loans. Media Bridge. I don’t remember for some reason that my consent to such a scale of investment in a third-party business for the gas monopolist was asked. Or at least they were informed about it. Nor were millions of other small shareholders asked or informed.
But not only that: as recent events have shown, namely the appointment of an inefficient general director and a weak editor-in-chief in a company that owes huge money to the business of which I am a shareholder, Gazprom does not at all intend to return its investments - it only fulfills a political order. Accordingly, he does not intend to pay real (and not fictitious) dividends due to me and millions of other small shareholders. And at the same time, for my own money, he is also trying to deprive me of the best television channel and thus shut my throat. As my ancestors used to say: genuk, that's enough. Don't take us for idiots. Or rather, it will cost.
