The Prosecutor General's Office invites the editors-in-chief of Itogi and Ekho Moskvy to conversations

Sergei Parkhomenko, editor-in-chief of the weekly Itogi, Alexey Venediktov, editor-in-chief of the radio station Ekho Moskvy, general director of NTV-Plus Evgeniy Yakovich and general director of TNT-Teleset Pavel Korchagin were summoned to the prosecutor's office for questioning in the Gusinsky case, Lenta.Ru reported.

Sergei Parkhomenko, chief editor of the Itogi magazine, which is part of the Media-Most holding, confirmed to NTV.ru the fact that on Tuesday, through Media-Most lawyer Yuri Bagraev, he was invited for questioning at the Prosecutor General's Office. The investigator invited employees of the Media-Most holding company for a conversation on Friday afternoon.

However, as Yuri Bagraev told Sergei Parkhomenko on Wednesday, the same investigator postponed the interrogation for an indefinite period “due to the investigator’s busy schedule.” Sergei Parkhomenko did not see the summons, nor did the lawyer. When asked in what capacity the holding’s employees are, the investigator explained that the Prosecutor General’s Office is interested in them “in a personal capacity.”

When asked by an NTV.ru correspondent what caused the investigator’s interest in the “personal qualities” of Sergei Parkhomenko, the editor-in-chief of “Itogi” explained: “perhaps the pro-Kursk workers are interested in the very qualities of Alexey Venediktov and myself, which appeared in unreported NTV broadcasts, for example, in “Voice of the People”, at rallies. As for Alexey Venediktov, the same qualities of Alexey also appeared during the interview that he took from Federal Chancellor Gerhard Schröder."
