Joseph Ordzhonikidze's wife suffered from hijackers

In Moscow, an attempt was made to steal a car driven by the wife of Deputy Prime Minister of the capital government Joseph Ordzhonikidze. On April 10, in the area of ​​house No. 22 on Kutuzovsky Prospekt, two intruders broke into the Mercedes-500, in which Ketevan Ordzhonikidze was, through an unlocked door. Threatening the woman with violence, the bandits moved her to the back seat. After driving around the city for about two hours, the criminals dropped off the deputy prime minister’s wife on the roadway, having first taken her gold jewelry.

Ketevan Ordzhonikidze immediately contacted the police. Traffic police officers activated the Lo-Jack radio search system, which blocked the engine of the stolen car. After some time, the car abandoned by the criminals was discovered at the 30th kilometer of the inner ring of the Moscow Ring Road.

According to investigators, what happened had nothing to do with the assassination attempt on Joseph Ordzhonikidze in December 2000. According to police officers, the wife of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Moscow government could become a victim of a gang of thieves of expensive foreign cars.
