The editor of the Primorsky newspaper "Arsenyevskie Vesti" Irina Grebneva began a dry five-day hunger strike in support of the NTV team. According to the Press Center.Ru agency, this newspaper published a statement by Irina Grebneva: “I don’t think that my strike will touch the authorities and force them to leave NTV alone. I am taking this step against the stranglers of freedom of speech, and I hope that it will make them at least think.”
According to Irina Grebneva, NTV today is the only TV channel that criticizes the president: “Without such healthy criticism, Putin will disappear, and all his endeavors will go to waste.”
Grebneva also said in her statement that this action “is not only in support of NTV, but also in gratitude to NTV, the first television company that immediately and warmly responded to my imprisonment, and monitored it from beginning to end.”
Previously, the editor of Arsenyevskie Vesti was taken into custody for publishing a printout of a telephone conversation of the first leaders of the Primorsky Territory “without cuts”, with the use of profanity.
