Does anyone remember the international scandal at the end of last year and the beginning of this year, when a British spy, in order to take revenge for his unfair dismissal from work, decided to publish his memoirs?

The valiant British intelligence MI6 did not remain aloof from this charitable deed. Tomlinson began an interesting life: 11 arrests organized by MI6 in different countries; prisons; litigation; surveillance and threats to personal safety; raids on all his contractors in countries where MI6 could get them; slander and slander (for example, the landlady was horrified to learn that he was a secret pedophile); negative campaigns in the press, from which, in particular, one could learn that the author was an unbalanced clinical psychopath; negative directives to possible employers and much more, so that the terrible secret, “threatening the national security of the country,” does not become known to hostile countries. It turned out that freedom of the press, of all the “civilized countries,” remained only in our native Russia, which always liked to step on the pet peeve of British capitalists.

In Russia, the book was published in English in a strange “one-off” publishing house at the beginning of the year. Now a Russian version has appeared, and people who read only Russian can learn for themselves several secrets of British intelligence. A team of one lawyer and seven translators from the Fregat publishing house officially announced the purchase of rights and publication of this dissident work in Moscow. The book (hardcover, 400 pages) is in stores now.

However, the most important secret remained behind the scenes. It, however, had to be personally revealed to the full-time British “expert on Soviet spies,” defector Gordievsky, who was tasked by MI6 to desecrate the book in the Daily Telegraph newspaper.

Another terrible secret is that now spies working in different parts of the world for British intelligence suddenly lost the confidence they had cultivated for many decades that no one except representatives of MI6 would know about their secret tricks. He will find out. Declassify. It will bring you to clean water. Not this, but some other retiree dissatisfied with personnel policy. There are fewer and fewer places in the world where someone will forever keep your secrets, gentlemen spies.
